Hello my old friends. My story...well, I was born a poor black child...oh no, that was The Jerk's story. I went to UConn and graduated with a Bachelors in Psych, almost enough credits for minors in philosophy and sociology. Then about 3 years as a Mental Health Worker at Cedarcrest and about 3 years as a psychiatric social worker in a pilot project trying to help acute chronically ill poor people from needing hospitalization. I married Lory from Enfield in 1986. She is a nurse with advanced credentials in rehabilitation and workers' compensation. Beginning in 1987, I went to Stetson College of Law in Gulfport, Florida and got a JD. Went to work for a small firm in Tampa, practicing environmental, land use and commercial civil and administrative litigation, with an emphasis in water law. Then in 97 I opened my own firm in St. Petersburg, FL, practicing mostly environmental and land use law, still focused in water law, but with more of a public interest, environmental defense thrust.
