After a pretty full start during the first half of my life: Married at 23, two children--now college grads, my own degree at 35 years old--biology, English (6 universities), a divorce at 37 (ouch!), 3 fairly distinct careers, some travel--the second half has been equally full, although a bit more challenging. I spent the 90's mostly on the Bering Sea as a fisheries biologist until I was hurt on a fishing vessel--just after I was re-married. In the 90's I also was GM of a digital imaging co. involved in advertizing for almost 4 years. Finally decided it was a waste of precious time and went back up to the Bering. A few more years there and I met my wife, Mary (a classical pianist), was married, and then promptly herniated 2 discs at sea exactly 1 month later.
