John's Story
Well, after PHS; 24 years in the USAF, was married for 22 years until 2001. Retired in Oklahoma City, OK; 1995 and moved back to Pensacola July 4, 2002. Trying to get my life started over again. In 2006; met this wonderful lady, Susan Benz, a driving force to help me calm down and share the rest of my life. Most of our weekends are spent paddling mostly creeks and rivers. The creeks have a wonderful way to calm your spirit and bring balance into your life. Especially if there are no drunks or power boats on the water. rt...you don't know what you have been missing. I'm finally learning how to fish. We go camping 4-8 times a year and have gone snow skiing every year. Wow! This lady is KILLING ME with activities. hhhmmm Oh yes; we are bowling weekly, she bowls twice and me once, unless I substitute for somebody on the other night.
I always wanted to fly airplanes when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a far reaching idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. It never turned into a job but I acquired: Commercial/Multi-engine rating. There were two assignments where I was a crew member on a C130E and on the AWACS (Boeing 707) aircraft.
