John's Story
Life
I garduated Feb.'49, went to St. John's College for 2 and 1/2 years (getting 3 years credits), accepted into Colombia School of Optometry andafter took post graduate course at Massachusettes College of Optometry. Started to practice in private practice in 1955 and retired a few years ago after my Daughter Dr. Laraine V. (who joined me in prctice 15 years ago) said I should take life easier. I do however occasionally see some patients when she has to go some place or when an "old patient" wants to see me "for old time' talks spending 1/2 hour woth the eye ...Expand for more
exams and 1 hour talking about old times. Fortunately we do have 3 exam rooms so my daughter can see the rest of the patients so as to pay the bills - especially now days with so many HMO"s with their small fees.
Since retired I do spend 1/2 year in naples Fl with my wife Eleanor ( Married June 1959) playng Golf and swimming and socializing. In summer I spend time in LI boating, swimming, golfing,etc.,etc..
Anxious to hear from classmates who remember me. Maybe we can spend time together boating or golfing or just talking.
