John's Story
John was born in Louisville, Kentucky. Rised in Jeffersonville, Indiana until 1965, Moved to California in 1965. first to Westminster in Orange County, then to Topanga, Los Angles County. I left Topanga in August 1969 and moved back to Louisville, KY. I finished my last two years of H.S. and graduated from Ahrens High School in 1971. I joined the Air Force right out of H.S., was an aircraft Mechanic on B-52's and KC-135's. Stationed at Castle AFB Merced, CA 1971 to 1972, UTapoe RTNAF, Thailand from 1972 to 1973 ( flew on 7 combat mission and was in the Christmas bombing/Linebacker II) while assigned there. I spent my last 18 months at Rickenbacker AFB, Ohio and worked on KC-135's. I left active duty as a Sgt in August 1975. I served one year in the Kentucky National Air Guard. I could not get any promotions so I got out in 1976. I worked at DuPont in Louisville at that time so a co-worked talked me into joining the U. S. ad the GI bill to go to College on so in 1980 I started to attend U of L, I stopped by Air Force ROTC and before I knew it I signed up to get a Commission and go back on active duty as an Air Force Officer. after a eight year break I returned to Active Duty from 1983 to 1988. With the force draw down I left active duty and completed my last 7 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, retiring at the rank of Captain. In 1990 I went to work at the U.S. Postal Service and that has been my civilian job for the last 23 years. I am married to Song Mee Choi for 22 years. I have a daughter Misty Renee Gomez 37 from my first marriage, a Son John David White 31 from my second marriage and Michael Anthony White 19 with Song. His schools include William H. Taft High School, Ahrens High School. He later attended University of Louisville (Economics).1983 He works(ed) at US Postal Service.
