John's Story
My short story: Received my Electrical Engineering degree from MIT in '79 and headed down to Gainesville Florida to work and get a Masters and PhD degree. Took a research faculty position at U of Florida in the Pediatric department doing biomedical research. Got married to a girl from DC that was in Vet school and we opened an Animal Hospital in Newberry Florida.

Left the university in '95 and worked for Energizer Battery for a while. Left Florida to go to Houston and work for Compaq (now HP) in the Notebook PC group. Now the Director of Power Technology for the notebook group.
Still playing basketball with kids half my age, but have started to take up golf. Oh yeah, I also ride a Triumph motorcyle to work every day ...
