John's Story

Life after graduating in '62 i went to college for 1 year (didn't learn much but had lotsa fun).dropped out and attended a tech school where i received an asso.degree in mechanical engineering. ... i have been married for 31 years ( 2010 ).. I like to do yard work and try to stay somewhat in shape by doing a little running and exercising although i also love to just sit and read or watch tv. i retired at the end of '05 .... doing track and field with the Ohio Senior Olympics .... In 2015 i qualified for the National Olympics in Minn. in the 50m.. 100m..200m.. high jump.. long jump.. and discs .. top 4 in Ohio in each event ... but couldn"t compete in the Nationals because later that year i was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer which i have been fighting for 4 years now.. every day for me now is a blessing.. so if you have any extra prayers send them my way ...
