John's Story

Hi, i was a member of the track and swim teams but wasn't very good at either. I might be best remembered for announcing the football and basketball games or as a DJ at some dances. After graduation I attended Virginia Tech where I got a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MS in Nuclear Engineering. ms. I eventually became an International Project Engineer and provided liaison between B&W engineering and our overseas affiliates and customers in Europe, Japan, and Russia. I retired in 2002. I married while in grad school, and my wife Janet and I have one son who works in the state of Washington. I am an avid nature photographer, and enjoy giving programs on wildflowers, shorebirds, and National Parks.
