John's Story
Life
After graduation from Indio High and college John married Patti Mallow a 1969 Graduate of Indio High School. Following college, where he was a history major, John started working for Sears Roebuck & Co and was assigned to work in the Indio Store. After 10 years with Sears John left to teach school in Palm Springs and did so for 5 years, he also assisted in coaching with the Palm Springs High School Varsity Baseball team and helped with the Football Program. John also coached Girls Varsity Softball at PSHS. At this time John is a General/Electrical Contractor in the Desert owning Craco D&E. He now is part of the coaching staff for girls Softball at Cathedral City High. Having now been married for 37 years Patti and John have 2 children, a daughter Erin and Son Jonathan. 006 from Queens University of Charlotte where she went on a Softball Scholarship. She started and played all 4 years as shortstop and leadoff hitter and is the leader in several all time statistic catagories. Jonathan is out of school and working. He plays softball with Special Olympics as catcher and has helped the Desert Team win a couple of Southern California State Championships. Well to update this letter I am now retired and moved to Overland Park, Kansas to be with the Grandkids. I now have twin granddaughters and one grandson. My wife is retiring at the end of the month of January 2017. I was disappointed that I was not able to go to our 50th class reunion but our vacation plans were at the same time as the reunion. I am loving at here in Kansas and I do not miss the 120 degree days in the desert.
