My Spouse
You'll get a kick out of this! I met her during a job interview. At the time, I was managing a dept. in a resort operation (this won't come as a surprise to those classmates who remember me). I was looking for a qualified desk clerk to fill an open position. My future wife came in for an interview. To make a long story short, I didn't hire her. She was later hired by the Accounting dept. of the same resort. We later made up. But, that's another story.
My Pets
My wife and I have been cat lovers since being married. When we first got married and moved to Dallas, TX (we don't live there now), Nita was lonely. I was workin...Expand for more
g quite a bit, and she was at home. I got her a white persian kitten (Smokey). Soon after, we got another Persian. Smokey stayed with us for 15 years. We still have his ashes in an urn.
Today, we have one black Persian named Bosco. He's huge and lovable.
My Job
For the last 2 1/2 years I've been an Executive Director for a luxury, high-rise independent retirement community in San Francisco. Prior to this, I had been in the Hotel/Resort Industry for over 30 years.
What I'm doing now is much more personally fulfilling and rewarding. I'm now able to develop longer-term relationships with our residents in the twilight of their lives.
