Life After high school I moved around a lot. I was in a band playing the hotel circuit around the Midwest, then I was a traveling salesman for awhile. I made my way down to Phoenix, AZ in 1987 and lived there for a few months. Some friends talked me into moving to Georgia with them and we ran a pecan orchard for a season. I also worked for a carnival; that was interesting. After that experience, seeing what goes on behind the scenes, I will NEVER let my kids ride the rides at a traveling carnival! I moved back up to Illinois where I met my wife in 1988. After we got married her job (auditor for the government) took us to Okinawa, Japan where we lived for three years. My son was an infant when we left the States and my daughter was born there. We came back to northern IL in 1993 and lived in DeKalb for a couple of years. The job market wasn't great there, and there was a lot of gang activity in our neighborhood so we moved back down by Danville. We lived in Olivet and Georgetown until 2000.
