John's Story

Remember our SMALL "CORE CLASS" in '47 and '48: a small intuitive social studies group. We had a great time! A great teacher & interaction together. My teacher found out about a potential scholarship to Wesleyan University in Conneticut where I majored in history & a minor in learning to compose "seven, atonal music" for which I was offered a scholarship by the renowned Lucas Foss who wanted to teach me for a summer at the Berkshire ...Expand for more
mountains. But the draft was after us, which recruited me for the Air Force in Texas. But it was great to have such a fantastic historian, Carl Schorske who chose me as the best of 25 student valedictorians - entitled, "A Time For Decision." Just a small part of my life! But most of it has been spent primarily in the the Middle East - such as Lebanon & Egypt. Do any of you live or visit in the Middle East? What is your story ???
