John's Story
Life
I went to Middletown from 1965-68. I left Middletown in 1968 when my father was transferred to Bellevue, Nebraska. I graduated from Bellevue HS in 1970 and then went to Duke University. After a few years I ended up in the the television business, starting with public TV stations in Dallas and Philadelphia and then Discovery Channel in 1989. d then left in 2003. I went to the National Geographic Channnel as head of programming. The, in Fall 2007 i came back to Discovery. I'm now President of Discovery Channel. We live in Chevy Chase, MD, just outside of Washington, DC. I'm married and have two children, a daughter, 20 and a son, 17.
