Life After graduation I volunteered for the draft and spent over 3 years in the Army Airborne, being honorably (to some peoples surprise) discharged in 1962. I then attended Ball State and played freshman basketball, but after my first year my buddy, Mike Sacchini, talked me into spending the summer in LA. Well, after seeing the Southern California sights, I got stuck there for 43 years. I was married for 23 years, amenably divorced in 1996, and have a son that is now 36. His name is Joshua, no grandchildren, and he still lives in California, but after returning to Indiana in 2006, I have recently relocated to the much warmer and sunnier, Peoria, Arizona. I arrived on October 10, 2011 and close on my new home October 14. After 25 years of working in California real estate, I decided to retire, and while visiting my old South Bend buddies in the summer of 2005, I purchased a home in Granger, Indiana.
