John's Story

Enlisted in the airforce right after graduating high school,first duty station March A.F.B. in southern ca. My career field was a heavy equipment operator,after re-enlisting in1982 I was stationed in Mildenhall, England where I met my wife of 25 yrs.(wow, I deserve a medal!)left england in1985, was stationed in Fortwalton, Beach,Fla.for 1 yr., left the air force. . after the service and worked as a crane operator. (that was interesting,and enjoyable!) Opportunity knocked back in the U.S.A. with local 150,where I work currently as a certified crane operator (20 yrs.),recently erecting wind mills. I live in rochelle il. approx. 80 miles west of chicago.Have met alot of interesting people of all walks of life from near and far! Take Care- JOHN GOMEZ.
