John's Story

Life After graduating high school, John A. Kaiser attended Ohio State University. Later he obtained a daytime driver's license and travelled extensively in the Maritimes and Canada helping with a children's gospel tent work in the summer. He followed up with home visits during the winter months. John is an excellent gospel preacher and has participated in prison and detention center ministries for years. His unusual ability to play the piano has contributed an incredible dimension to family memories. John settled into a career as purchaser and Bible buyer at Bible Truth Publishers in Chicago suburbs in 1973. He met Olive Jennings (St. Louis, Missouri) at Bible Truth Publishers and they were married in 1975. John and Olive had 7 children, David, Dan, Tim, Susan, Philip, Joseph and Stephen in about 10 years. John was granted night driving privileges in time to drive Olive to the hospital for their last baby, Stephen's delivery They raised the family in Addison, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. Joseph was killed in a tragic bicycle accident at the age of 6. The family was comforted in the knowledge that he clearly had accepted the Lord Jesus as his Saviour 18 months previous to the accident. David is now 29 and Stephen is 19. No one is married yet, and 4 of the 6 remaining kids are still at home, working or going to school. None of the kids inherited John's albino characteristics. David works at UPS, Dan graduated college and is a policeman, Tim attended Lincoln Tech, is a licensed dealer mechanic and travels on many short term gospel missions from Newfoundland to Argentina to British Columbia. Su is a college graduate and a nurse, Phil is an EMT in an emergency room, a firefighter and is preparing to finish college in nursing school, Stephen is a college freshman and computer whiz. Olive is a stay at home mom and engaged in a gluten grain sensitivity medical research project. John remains at Bible Truth Publishers to the present. His unusual ability to absorb facts and written content have given him a unique service to customers around the world for the past 33 years. John has had poor health all of his adult life. Recently it has come to light that he is gluten grain intolerant, as are most of the kids. John's sister Peggy and her husband live in Columbus, Ohio as do several of their kids. John's father is 92 and still very active and healthy. His mother passed in 1995. John is happy to renew contacts with old acquaintances. Some of his stories of his school and particularly high school experiences are now family legends. John works at Bible Truth Publishers in Addison, Illinois and can be contacted there...Expand for more
