John's Story

John is from Burlington, North Carolina. Graduated from Walter Williams High School in 1959. He entered the U.S. Navy immediately after graduation, serving aboard the USS N. K. Perry, DDR 883 for the next two years. In 1969 he was one of the founding employees of Biomedical Laboratories, the company that later evolved into LabCorp. In 1976 John launched his own company, PRO-FORMS & Systems, Inc. where he continued to work for the next 30 years. In 2006 he sold and merged his company with One Source Document Solutions, Inc. of Greensboro, NC., served as VP, and Account Executive, working there for the next five years acclimating his original clients. In the 60's and early 70's John was active in the Burlington Jaycees, holding many local offices and State Vice President. John earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a boy, and continued serving BSA as an adult leader, beginning in 1972. In 1978 he assumed responsibility as Scoutmaster for Troop 22 in Burlington, NC and continued in that position for the next 30 years. Over the years he lead several contingents to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, attended numerous National Jamborees. He has been a member of the Scouting community for over 60 years. Dee & I have been married close to 60 years. We love to travel.....especially to the western part of the US & Canada. John music likes includes 50-60's Rock & Roll, Easy listening, Classic rock, Chicago, & Pink Floyd. Books John likes include Human Interest. TV shows John likes include NCIS & CSI type programs, travel programs and PBS programming.
