John's Story
John is from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. His schools include Menomonee Falls High School.
After 2 years at UWM, I transferred to Marquette University where Robin (Kumferman) and I both majored in Broadcasting. Robin and I dated though our senior year in HS and all though college. To be near her was probably the main reason I transferred to Marquette :)
After graduation, I left for Hollywood, CA with two suitcases and $100 in my pocket. (way underprepared!)
Luckily though, I soon secured a job at NBC in Burbank where I stayed for 10 years.
After NBC I moved into the movie industry and became a Property Master in TV and Film projects.
I spent about another 10 years doing that and the...Expand for more
n moved into the Concert and Live entertainment end of the business. After that I began my own internet business providing equipment to the trades I used to work in. I still do that today although I'm beginning to finally think about really retiring.
Robin and I were married the same year we graduated from college.
We had two children, a daughter then a son. Today our daughter is an attorney and our son is a writer.
Sadly, I lost Robin in 2011 after a four year battle with cancer.
Today, I reside in Scottsdale, AZ near my daughter and only grandson. He's a joy and in many cases a reason for being. Hopefully, things are looking up.
I hope to see you all this fall at our 50th reunion.
