John's Story
Life
Graduated Warren Harding 1959, Entered
MIT and received B.S.E.E. in 1963,
then on to graduate school in the Yale
Engineering and Applied Science Department, receiving M.Eng in 1964.
Bell Laboratories in 1965, and then back
to Yale for PhD in 1969. Joined Yale
faculty in EAS in 1969, then on to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1974.

Married to Karen Marie Knapp in 1979.
Promoted full professor in 1985. After 33+ years in teching, looking forward to retirement in 5 years. House finlly paid off. Enjoy playing tennis, sailing, skiing, and using our time shares in
Orlando with the kids (Mike and Abby)
- even though they are grown up now -
with their kids, and usually in winter!
