Sunsets around here are almost always spectacular, but last night was particularly beautiful. A light haze made the mountains glow.
Saw the St. Olaf College Orchestra at the Paramount in downtown Charlottesville last night. They performed 2 movements of Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony. It was electric, on fire, super high energy and----fabulous.
Maddux and I are both taking violin lessons--he is learning anew, I am relearning. We are both enjoying the same thing from different angles.
Going to Tech On Tap at Firefly tonight!
Going to see the Bel Canto Vocal Ensemble, a local signing group, perform 16th century and other music tonight in Orange, Virginia. Lots of great classical music here, many free performances. Awesome.
OK, I moved to Virginia from Chicago 6 months ago. What's the difference? Chicago has 6 months of deep freeze. Virginia is 3 months of roller coaster: 30's (today) and 60's (on Thursday). I'm staying here.
For some reason this reminds me of English Literature class at college...
