John's Story

As my friends remember I left for the East Coast some 40 years ago, and here I still sit. The last thing I remember from living in Edina is driving down the front lawns of some beautiful suburbans home after enjoying some Miller High Life. My first adventure having left Pleasantville, how I explain my "Edina Experience to my friends in Boston, I hope you have seen the movie, was attending The Hill School in Pottstown, PA. While my life during this time mostly involved stopping rubber discs, I did get an opportunity to study on occasion. 3 years later I found myself at Harvard with 9 past friends from Edina High School playing for the Harvard Freshman Hockey team. A few months into my first season, I suffered an injury that would end my career and start me on my new career path. In December 1976, I met a teacher who told me that the United States government controlled the International Narcotics trade. Having grown up in Pleasantville, I was totally shocked by this information, and I decided to do something about it. I spent the next 37 years looking over my shoulder, wondering what might happen next in this adventure. My soon to be published book, Paradigm Lost: America's Dance with the Devil, outlines how the US government got into the narcotics trade, and just how much money was generated for illegal political activities. According to a recent retired employee of the CIA, since the end of the Vietnam War, the CIA has sold more than $7 Trillion worth of illegal drugs. The goal with the publication of my new book, is to bring the profits from this "illegal government activity" back to the inner city in the form of Economic Development Aid. Needless to say, the people who control these illegal accounts do not put me at the top of their friends list, LMAO. My marriage of 22 years ended in 2007 shortly after I was told the Bush Administration had issued a contract on my life, as I had been classified as a "Terrorist" by some members of his Administration. If you want to learn more about this problem, you can tune into my new Radio Program on, Unboundradio.com. I promise my show will be much more informative and exciting than any of the history classes that you ever took at Edina High School. My new company, Mass Design * Commonwealth, seeks to train current and former Gang Members with history of involvement with the Criminal Justice System in Massachusetts, how to build custom Kitchens and Bathroom. Over my career in the construction industry, I have designed, and/or built more than 150 kitchens and many bathrooms. In 1995, yes although I know we are old...Expand for more
, you can do the Math, after 20 years at Harvard, I walked the walk and got my degree in History of Science with a specialty in Neuro-Biology and the History of Psychology and Psychiatry. Although my education adventure was a long one, and an enjoyable one as well, by the time I finished I had gone graduate level work in 5 Departments. After spending a Semester in the MD/PHD program at Harvard Medical School as an 40 year old undergraduate, for a while I considered medical school, but my teachers discouraged me from applying since the new form of treatment that I had developed for treating Psychiatric Illness was outside the acceptable forms of medical practice. My medical specialty is using marijuana and massage for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. With the passage of the new "Medical Marijuana Law", the treatment that I have developed over the last 35 years are almost legal in Massachusetts. With hope and a pray, my new clinic will open before 2014 in the Boston area, where I will specialize in treating US War Veterans, and urban youth with a history of violence. My 2cd book, Paradigm Found: Why the Leaves of the Tree are for the Healing of the Nations (2014), outlines the historical evidence why marijuana is a key to solving the moral crisis in our inner cities. The foundation of this argument is constructed around a 1995 lecture I gave at the Harvard Divinity School that suggested that the problem of drugs, crime and violence were intimately connected to our inability to distinguish between drugs, medicines and sacraments. My 3rd, Bi-Polar Illness: Mental Illness or Divine Inspiration, is a deconstruction of the United States current policy for treating mental illness. The book outlines a model I developed while studying at Harvard Medical School. This model integrates the theories of Nobert Weiner, a famous Professor from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and David Bohm's Quantum explanation of the human nervous system. The book suggests that our current approach to treating all diseases of the nervous system are ineffective because they are based on poor science. In 2009, I felt my Calling to the Ministry and I am an active member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts where I am President of the Men's Gospel Chorus, and I teach Sunday School. While I struggled for a long time about whether a white person could be called to Preach in a Church that is predominately African American, I anticipate entering the Ministry of the AME Church soon. visit: wbpnet.org to see some of my latest writings
