John's Story
After graduation, majored in Physics at UCLA. Loved the diversity in people and ideas, the fantastic variety of course offered. Was a participant in the 1964 Free Speech Movement. After graduation worked for the Navy for 5 years before going to graduate school at Indiana University - Ph.D. in astronomy and astrophysics. Taught full time for three years at the Univ of Wisconsin Stevens Point, then moved south to Huntsville, AL. Been here 40 y...Expand for more
ears working for a defense contractor and for the last ten years teaching part-time at the Univ. of Alabama in Huntsville, a senior design class for electrical engineers. Class projects in robotics and high altitude balloon flights.
Married in 1968 and one daughter (now 50 years old!).
Five years ago began riding a motorcycle. Still working and teaching, ride whenever I can. Looking forward to seeing classmates at the 60th reunion.
