John's Story
Life
After growing up on the west side of Cincinnati and graduating from Elder, I joined the Navy. I spent 4 years as an Aviation Electronics Technician and most of that time with a squadron based in Key West Florida. After the Navy I had a brief job climbing radio towers around Cincinnati and quickly found a safer job with NCR as a Field Engineer (1988) repairing cash register systems in local bars and restaurants. At this point I got married in 1989 to my wife Allison. NCR moved me to Dayton where I spent 3 years on a help desk and purchased our first house in West Carrolton. division Systems Administrator and then became a network engineer and eventually a software developer at which point I moved back to Cincinnati (West Chester) and changed employers in 1997. I am now in my second West Chester home and working for Cincinnati Childrens Hospital as a software developer, developing web based clinical applications. I have two children Lauren (born in 1996) and Alec (born in 2001). On the side I write and sell video games and build arcade game cabinets for fun.
