John's Story

Life Alot has went on in my life, good, and bad. Most of the bad was caused by me, and I am a better person for it. I have been in the National Guard for 18 years, and got back from Iraq on 17 March 2006. Well I was there I was stationed in three different places. The first was Camp Caldwell 90 miles north of Bagdad, and 20 miles from Iran. Next was at F.O.B. Speicher, in Tikrit. Then was the big move to Camp Junction City, in Ar-Ramadi. That was a bad place, and I saw a lot of thing I would like to forget. I just went back to work after taking three months off, and in that time, I went to Hawaii with my new girlfriend, Debbie S...Expand for more
cott. It was a great place, and I plan on going again next year. Military I have been in the Michigan National Guard for 18 years. The military has taken me to a lot of places that I would never have gone if it were not for the military. I have been to Germany twice, and that has to be the best place that I have been. I really liked the people, the food, and the beer is the best!!!! I think the worst place I have been is Ramadi, Iraq. I do not think much of those people, or that side of the world. I really think that everyone should spend a couple years in the military. It makes you grow up so much. I am glad I went in.
