John's Story
Living up in the moutains of Colorado at 9000 ft in a log house heated with wood stoves, a far cry from life in Camarillo. I still have family out that way and my kids and I get back often to visit. Originaly I had moved to the Colorado Springs area in 94 then migrated up the hill to Woodland Park. I had gone back to Camarillo for a few years after my two kids were born, then after just a few years, ended up back here, now up in Divide between Woodland Park and Cripple Creek. We sit just to the North of Pikes Peak are well treed in with conifer and aspen, great views, and snow pack 3-4 months a year. short. All those years of living in Camarillo, I think you could plant a 2x4 in the ground and grow a tree.
I miss the smell of the fresh cut cilantro and green onions, the straw berries too. The warm coastal air and overall mild but great climate. Being able to jump in the car and hit the beach in a few minutes and catch some waves.
School overall was a great time however, I didn't put much into keeping in contact with friends and class mates. I guess it almost feels like it was all just yesterday and that we can all see eachother again at anytime. I hope your lives are doing well, do look me up if your in the area, I should be wandering the hills here for some time, it's home!
