John's Story
Obviously this is me at graduation, and then a photo of my wife and I. We have been married for 28 years, and she has put up with a lot of shenanigans...hahahaha. After High School I went into the Air Force to avoid Vietnam but went there anyway. After service moved to Lake Tahoe and was a bartender at Harveys Casino for 7 years. For the last 25 plus years I have been a Stagehand slash Roadie for anything from Broadway Shows, to Willie Nelson to Pink Floyd.Willie Nelson has always been my favorite, you have to be there to understand it. I love my job, and have been paid very well to travel the world with these great entertainer that I have met over the years.I am married with 2 sons and a daughter, and we have 6 grandsons.
Joined Classmates to try and find some past friends, and girlfriends especially.I come to Calif. most every summer and go gold mining up on the Mokelumne River in Jackson area. It's been a hobby of kine for the last 30+ years and I love it and the many friends I have met over the years. Mother and father both passed away, so I really don't have a reason to come to Manteca anymore, but I drop in occasionally, really a big city now.
Hope to make it to one reunion before I go to the Big Sleep, so hopefully somebody will contact me about this, when it or if it happens.Sure hope that a reunion come along real soon, I want to see everyone.Email me and I'll give a phone number up so we can talk.
Have a great life everyone.
The following is the questions they ask after the profile story. Figured what the heck, go ahead and do it...
My true hero is Willie Nelson. If you were to have been in my shoes working with him....well you kinda had t...Expand for more
o have been there. A beautiful, and sincere person to be around with, and work with. He will always be my best hero, friend, and com padre.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Pamela Spence, because she was my first true love, and she made me graduate with a broken heart, but I still think of her often..
Well that's an easy one... Rick Lague. We met in 7th grade and his parents owned the Buyers Bargain Barn. We have been friends ever since. Been through a lot of different things through the years....good and bad. His in -
laws are the ones that own the property that I gold mine on.. Name of it is,"Roaring Camp" just up the road from Jackson Calif.
Have been gold mining all my adult life, I come to Calif. in the summers to do my absolute favorite activity of all. I love to golf, although I'm not that good, but not bad either. I love to go to Flea Markets. And other activities that maybe I shouldn't put on here.
Deadliest Catch, American Choppers, First 48, 30 Rock... Don't watch a lot of Network TV....but I enjoy Discovery Channel, History Channel, A&E, Gold mining shows, America Pickers, Storage Wars. Absolutely NO,NO Reality shows they are diffidently stupid to watch, and people who watch them should get a LIFE....!!!!
If I won $100 million, I'd give All of it to Myself and my wife, then spend the rest on My children and grandchildren, a Home in Maui and the Big Island and Travel the world.
My current age is 60. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be Pretty lame. I was so completely wrong about that one....for sure.
In 10 years, I hope to be Long retired. I'm going to get there by hook or my crook.
