Johnna's Story
I retired from Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino in December 2012, after 28 years, where my duties consisted of overseeing all aspects of the daily operations of the Victorville and Big Bear Courts. It was often crazy, but I loved my job.
Soon after retiring, my husband and I picked up roots and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. It’s a great college town (Colorado State University) and we love living close to the Rockies.
I have 2 grown children - a daughter, Melanie, who is 46 and a son, John Michael, who is 37. Plus...Expand for more
, we have two beautiful granddaughters - Avalon and Olivia.
I stay busy with various sewing projects, and I also belong to the Northern Colorado New Horizons Band. This is a band for “seniors”, if you will, as one must be 50 to become a member. I always wanted to become, once again, involved with music, and retirement provided the perfect opportunity. The NHB is a full concert band and we perform. 3 or 4 concerts per season. The members are people from all walks of life, but they become more like family who truly care about each other.
