Johnna's Story

Life Hello everyone down in sunny South Florida. Well, let's see, I am living in the City of Pittsburgh, have been for the last 13 years. I left South Florida around 1990 too see what it was like to live somewhere other than South Florida; I wanted to see what it was like to live where there were seasons. I can say that the seasons are beautiful, except for WINTER!!! Winters can be very trying, you forget how good you have it down there when you don't have to spend 30 minutes removing all the snow and ice from your car before you ever go anywhere. Anyway, I have been a paramedic in the City of Pittsburgh pretty much since I got here. It is a tough job, but I have enjoyed it. I am now finishing up nursing school and will be returning to South Florida by May of 2005. That is about it...Expand for more
. Hope everyone is doing well and maybe I will see you all at our next reunion. Well, I am back in sunny and very hot South Florida. I graduated nursing school back in May of 2005, got a new job in the ER at Broward General Hospital and moved back to Ft. Lauderdale. It was and still is a hard transition leaving a career of 14 years as a medic for the City of Pittsburgh to come back home and start over as an emergency room nurse, but I was missing my home too much. Anyway, nothing else is happening. I look forward to seeing all of you at our next reunion. I know a little about what has been going on in some of your lives through Karen (Thomas) Menard, which I have remained close friends with ever since leaving South Florida. Anyway, hope all is well with everyone. See you soon.
