"Simply Complicated?" Aren't most artist on all levels of entertainment? From the writer, the author, the lyricist to the storyteller, novelist, the singer, the actor to the stagehands etc. I'm at the crossroads of my life, a time to decide on my many choices and directions. As the great Ms. Sarah Vaughn sang, "So many stars, which one is mine?" And I repeat, "which one is mine?"
Born Johnny Frazier, Jr. IN TWO WORDS: Simply Complicated. My best friend, Rich, has said that ...Expand for more
after being my best friend for over 27 years plus, he would sum me up in two words, simply complicated. Thatâs something to think about. And perhaps I am. I donât see that when I look at myself. If anything, I can be extremely sensitive, so I protect that person. If I were to divide that person into two. Johnny is a boy who grew up in East Harlem and Queens, NY. Who was madly in love with his mother and was totally and truly a mamaâs boy. Unfortuately when he was 17 and his mother passed away from cancer at the age of 35. Fortunately, she had prepared him for life. The love shared between us is everlasting, forever, for eternality. The protector would be John, the other side of me, the adult side of me. Iâve been blessed to have/had three special women in my life. My beloved mother, Luvenia Frazier Sims, my beloved grandmother, Hettie Mae Landy-but she preferred Hattie and my sister, Emily Charisse Smalls. Each one so dear and special to me. I'm strong yet sensitive, weak when it comes to matters of the heart. I pray that I'm wiser and stronger than I was yesterday. I would like to believe that I can make a positive change in the lives that I touch, that I'm a part of. I'm a poet, an author, a brother, a lover and a friend. I pray that God's light shines within me, whenever I meet & greet, no matter the situation, no matter how difficult or wonderful the journey.".
