Johnny Morrow:  

Attended Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, TN 1969 to 1973. I met Donna Cole, of Lakeland, FL, in 1972 while at Trevecca. We were married in Lakeland, FL on August 18, 1973. After working for K-Mart Corporation in North Carolina for almost 2 years, I left K-Mart and North Carolina and relocated to Lakeland, FL where I have remained to this day. I worked for Woolco Department Stores until their closure in 1978. Since Communications was my minor in college and, being a motor mouth (that should come as no surprise to my classmates) I started my career in radio as a "DJ" in late 1978. I would continue in that profession until 1985 when I moved to Advertising Specialty Sales. In 1985 I also joined Toastmaster's International, an educationally chartered club dedicated to teaching skills in public speaking and leadership. In 1996 I joined the new offices of GEICO Auto Insurance as a Telephone Sales Agent. Yes, I was the person you spoke to when you wanted to save 15% in 15 minutes. I moved from sales to human resources and recruiting in 1998, then finally to auto claims adjuster in 2000 where I remained until November 1, 2013. After 17 years with GEICO, I joined my wife Donna, who also worked for GEICO Claims, in retirement. Today, I am developing my resume as a Professional Public Speaker and continue my membership with Toastmaster's International. Donna is an Independent Distributor for VEMMA Wellness and Life-Vantage and specializes in all natural vitamins and minerals. We maintain an office in our home here in Lakeland.
