Jolene's Story
33 years of marriage--to the same guy!!-- three kids and 5 grand kids. Sounds ideal, but just like everyone else the going has been tough at times.
We lost our oldest daughter, Robin, when she was 16, in a car wreck. Not something you get over and I still miss her daily and it's been almost 14 years. Fortunately, we are a close family and are always there for each other.
We've lived in 32 different places and although we loved moving (because of work) we now are settled back in Texas. We bought a rock house built in 1929 ...Expand for more
and have undertaken remodeling all of it. It's lots of work, but we enjoy it and our imaginations have gone wild. As you may remember, I'm tall, and now suffer from several spinal problems, the first thing my husband and son did was to give me a custom kitchen with all countertops higher than normal and raised my stove-everything is a perfect height-guess they didn't want to miss out on my home cooking!
I would really enjoy hearing from classmates that remember me-although I know I was very shy and quiet-that has changed.
