Jon's Story
I have been living in Newburgh, IN for about the last 4 years, married to the former Connie Masterson (Pat's little sister). I was forced to retire with some health issues in January of 2014. She works as a nurse and together we have Bazinga Charitable Promotions, a group that puts on charity car shows (yes, still playing with cars)' Over the lat 2 years, we have raised over $12,000.00 for several charities and over a ton of canned goods for 3 different food pantries. Rain has been a bear this year but we have raised over $4,000.00 and over 500 pounds of food so far.
I spent just shy of 40 years building roads and bridges for the state of Indiana until a heart attack forced me to retire because i could not get a CDL. At first i was PO'd but it has turned out to be a pret...Expand for more
ty good thing. I never dreamed i would be on first name bases with so many business owners, politicians and school people in Vanderburgh County as i am and it is all because of our car show work. e have done shows for Susan G. Komen Fpundation, EVSC PTA, Warrick Humane Society, the Tri State MS Association, Evansville Rescue Mission, Evansvile Grace House, a young girl afflicted with Mitochondrial Disease and a young man with a rare cancer. We did shows for Chris Lutheran Church, Tri State Food bank, St Mark's Food Pantry, V.A. Clinic Homeless Veteran's Food Pantry, Restore 1 More Ministries and the Evansviile / Vanderburgh Animal Shelter. It has been a rewarding experience for sure!!
