Jon's Story
Graduated Pinkerton Academy 1967, majored in Agriculture under Al Connors. Joined the USAF for 5 years. First 4 years spent loading bombs on B-52 Bombers (both Conventional and Nukes). Lived in Okinawa for a year and lived in Thailand for two years. Also flew aboard B-52's to Viet Nam. Last 11 months spent hospitalized at Chelsea Naval Hosp, for serious injuries sustained in auto accident while on duty. Disabily retired with pension.
After the Air Force went to college under the GI bill and got an Associates Degree in Real Estate. Worked for 25+ years in many aspects of real estate including: residential sales, buy and sell apartment buildings, land developement and appraisals. Nights, I taught Tae Kwon Do for years to many students.Traveled around the country on weekends studying advanced martial arts, Acupressure and Chi-Kung. Taught Acupressure and Chi-Kung at the University of NH nights. When I was young I walked across 2,000 degree hot coals barefoot and did not get burned even slightly; yes it is really possible. All during this time I studied nights and got a rare Bachelors Degree in the Martial Arts. Continued traveling weekends and got promoted to 5th Degree Master in the fighting arts of Tae Kwon Do and 8th Degree Master in the healing arts of Seibu-do. Awarded a LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP in the "International Association of Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine". In the year 2013 voted "Master of the year" in Tae Kwon Do by the U.S. Kido Federation's Black Belt Hall of Fame, culminating my 39 years in the martial arts.
Now retired and taking care of my 8 apartments and watching my only daughter (a 2nd Degree Black Belt) and my three grandchildren grow. Started teaching both my grandchildren Tae Kwon Do, they both got promotions and are looking forward to their first tournament. Nolan, age 16, is a green belt and Eila, age 13 is a yellow belt. Nolan went to his first tournament and entered 3 events: forms, sparring and breaking. He did very well and took 3 trophies; 1st place in fighting, 1st place in forms and 2nd place in breaking. Eila was too shy to compete. Preparing for their second tournament. Their mother...Expand for more
wants them to be well rounded so they are taking time off to study baseball. I am slowing down and currently teaching Chi-Kung and Nei Gong to seniors and advanced pressure points to Advanced Black Belts only. I have 10 Black Belts under me however only 2 want to teach and continue learning. One is teaching the fighting arts of TKD and one is pursuing the healing arts of acupressure. I am trying to get a local college to offer a college degree in the martial arts. This is a major goal of mine. In 2013 I was awarded "Master of the year in Tae Kwon-Do" by the U.S. Kido Federation, Black Belt Hall of Fame.
Update.......I now have another granddaughter ( Rylin Rae ) four year old and am waiting until I can fit her into a Karate Gi . I am a firm believer that martial arts training helps children enormously. The proof is in their improved grades and respect for authority ie Parents, Teachers, Police and fellow classmates.
Update.......I was just awarded the 2015 "Small School of the Year" award from the U.S. Kido Federation, Black Belt Hall of Fame. Thank you gentlemen ! Now studying Dim Mak under a Master from the Shaolin Temples in the Mountains of China.
Update........Back in 1991, I went to China to study the healing arts of Acupressure, now the country has changed dramatically since the Olympics. It would have been impossible for a foreigner to study inside the Shaolin Temples however now some of these highly kept esoteric SECRETS are being selectively taught to foreigners to prevent there extinction. I am lucky to be studying directly under a Master of direct Lineage to the art of Dim Mak. UPDATE: Completed 3 years of learning DIM MAK and took the exam to be the first legal Instructor in the whole of the USA . Yes ! The first in America to be a legal LINEAGE Instructor directly from the Shaolin Temples of CHINA. Furthermore on Nov 8th I was promoted to 9th degree Black Belt ( GRAND MASTER ) in Seibu-Do which is both a fighting and a healing martial art. I can't believe that I was only a "C" student in all my years at Pinkerton, someone above has been watching over me for sure....................Master Jon Fraser
