Jon's Story
Age: 44 -currently live in Greenbrier, TN. After I graduated HS I went to Belmont College in Nashville, TN and graduated with a Commercial Music Composition degree. After college, I played my first pro gig with the "Stars of the Lawrence Welk Show", playing keyboards and conducting the band. A little after the mid 90's I got a gig with Ray Stevens as his keyboard player and background vocalist. I have been playing with Ray off and on ever since. I¿ve played with other artists during the 90's including country artists Jeff Carson, John Berry and Rhett Akins. Most of my playing has been in the US but have done some shows in Canada and Germany. arances, including being in a CMT video called "Better Than a Biscuit" which was a John Berry release, and performed numerous times on "Prime Time Country" and the Grand Ole Opry. Currently I am writing music for TV/film and playing for Ray Stevens. I am also part of the worship team at the Gateway Assembly of God, which is located in Ashland City, TN. I have been there for a few years. The most joy I get playing is when I am doing it for the Lord. There is nothing that compares to worshipping our Creator and being involved in ministry, as those investments of my time and efforts help to change lives and are eternal. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:21.
