Life
Four score and seven years ago one crazy mamajama named Jon Darby managed to avoid ever picking up a Texas accent while attending the finest schools Grand Prairie, Texas had to offer. A simple misunderstanding with notorious principal Vern Alexander led to leaving South Grand Prairie High School a shade earlier than expected and my metriculation was relocated to Maryland. After high school I went to St. Mary's College of Maryland studying Artificial Intelligence to make up for the lack of any real intelligence of my own. l in the world originates. I reluctantly joined the real world as a video game programmer for Hasbro. I also worked for B.E.T. recording bass parts for the music video channel for a couple of years and earned the nickname 'Crackers' for being the odd white boy in the studio. I still have a lifelong obsession with Volkswagens, airplanes, music, and never taking anything seriously. Ever. I landed the opportunity to travel the world playing bass in a big DC ska band called the Pietasters and have done a bunch of TV music work on and off-camera. Moved to Seattle in 2011 where I worked in the TV and movie industry.
