Well now....I grew up here in GP, attended Ft. Vannoy, Fleming and GPHS. Would'a graduated in '70 but joined Marine Corp in '69, stationed at MCAS El Toro. After I got out I stayed in So. Cal for awhile livin' the kinda beach bum lifestyle. Great times and memories (I think). Came back to GP, met my wife (I married above my paygrade :)) and we have two great boys..er,, grown ass men now. Various odd jobs over the years, a stint of a year or two in Brookings and then back home to GP., eventually landing at a plywood mill and staying with the profession until I retired in 2015 (with 39 years and 4 different mills). That profession worked well for me and my family as I worked mostly the graveyard shift allowing me to be actively participating in my kids activities.
