Jon's Story
Life
DeAnn Phillips and I got married in Sep '83 and then I joined the Army in Oct '83. I stayed in the Army for 15 1/2 years (attaining the rank of Sergeant) plus 3 years in the Reserves.
After my military service, I was hired by the Great Lakes Naval Station in North Chicago as a civilian police officer. I then received word of a better paying job in Durham, North Carolina. While I was in the military, DeAnn and I had 4 children together; Christoper, Elizabeth, Jon Jr, & Brittnee. After 17 years of marriage and the purchase of a new house, we separated and divorced in 2001.
I am currently living with my wife (Stacy from North Carolina) and we have a child together (Michael Weiss). We were married in July 2006 in a small wedding. We are staying in North Carolina where I intend to further pursue my career in law enforcement. Stacy also works for Duke University.
