Jonathan's Story
Hi......
I am now in Tucson, Arizona since 1995 where it has been over 100 in
temperature all this week. Hot..Hot..Hot.. 06/17/2010.
Before that I was working at Hughes Aircraft Company after getting an Aerospace Engineering degree at Northrop University in Inglewood, CA
in 1973 while watching the commercial jets on final approach to LAX,
Los Angeles right overhead. We moved to Tucson after the Northridge earthquake in 1994.
Was a caregiver to my parents before and after moving to Tucson. He
was a Space Physicist for Hughes Aircraft. My mom was an RN. They
have both passed on. My oldest sister lived here and was a Solar Physicist
at NSO/NOAO located at the University of Arizona. She has passed on too.
My brother-in-law is also a Solar Physicist. Still working there. And now
remarried.
I like airplanes and flying, but since moving here I have not done much of
that. Was flying around Southern California most of the time.
Have a business, Garden Airways, selling plans for building 3-D, Realistic-looking, aircraft weathervanes. I have sold plans both nationally and internationally.
I have a brother in Lomita, CA who is very good at building anything that
is electronic, from pre-amps ...Expand for more
to radars and designing antennas, doing
moon bounce stuff and talking to people over the world from Lomita, CA.
And I have a sister and brother-in-law up in the Salem, Oregon area.They
have a 15 Acre farm up there about 15 miles north of Salem. They are
into Hydroponics and are teaching the people who have small farms how
to do it for themselves. And if anybody wants to know the Hughes HK-1
Flying boat is on display up in Mcminiville, Oregon at the Evergreen Air
and Space Museum not far from where they live. And now there is a 747
there that landed at the not so long runway there not so long ago.
I took care of my folks home while we were all here. They had 1.1 acres
up in the foothills with a great view of the city. Unfortunately I had to sell
the home and land when they passed on. There was even an indoor pool
prescribed for my dad to use. He has been in a wheelchair in California
and since moving to Tucson. My mom finally had to use the walker my dad
had used. I drove them where they needed to go. Did the shopping. All this
while working on my business.
Thanks for reading all these words. Kind of a lot. But that's life.....
