Jonathan Rice:  

I transferred from a Catholic high school to CVHS my Sophomore year and was a rather shy and quiet person, who during the three years before my undistinguished graduation had managed to make some good friends among, oddly enough, the cool guys. Recently I decided to try reconnecting with some of those guys. That’s mostly why I signed up with Classmates. To learn about their lives after high school. After high school, I served two years of Alternative Service as a Conscientious Objector to the war in Vietnam. Graduated from UCSB with a degree in Religious Studies. Got married. Lived for years in San Francisco and in Berkeley, while working as a freelance writer. Graduated from SFSU with a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing, emphasis on the novel. Got divorced. Worked as a staff writer for major corporations in San Francisco. Left the corporate world and graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree from a Presbyterian seminary and served in the church as a pastor for about a decade, during which I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree, with an emphasis in narrative theology.
