Jonathan's Story

Life Graduated from Western Maryland College with a BA in Communication, then moved to Los Angeles where I earned my MFA in cinema-TV production at the University of Southern California. Worked briefly on "Doogie Howser" & "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" before returning to Maryland to become a full-time writer/producer of documentaries and kids shows for Maryland Public TV -- including the Emmy Award-winning "Vid Kid" series. & directed 16mm feature film "Forest for the Trees" in 1998. Currently, teaching media and cinema as a full-time Associate Professor of Communication & Cinema at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. In Fall 2006, taught film analysis and documentary production for 4 months in Budapest, Hungary. Most recent public TV documentaries: "Eatin' Crabs: Chesapeake Style", "Historic Barns of Maryland", "Electric Road Trip Across Maryland."
