Jonathan's Story
Life
Since graduation I have had a dozen jobs, been to 9 different countries, and just tried to grow up. Immediately after graduation I enrolled in Michigan State University. I went there for four semesters, before we had an amicable seperation. They said you're on recess I said, "sweet I used to love recess." I didn't know that they meant some that different than I did. So I was out of school.
I got a job, took a class at LCC and just bumed around as was, well a bum. This would continue for the better part of two years.
Then one day I was waiting tables and a group of guys wearing USMC shirts sat down at one of my tables. I went up too them and asked if they were Marines, they were. recuiter.
I went to meet with this guy and I decided that I wasn't going to join the military. Then 3 weeks and several meetings later I enlisted in the the United States Marine Corps.
So here I am almost 7 years out of high school, almost 4 years into the Marine Corps and I am at another crossroads.
I am enrolling this fall into LCC and going back to college. I have to get out of this gun club first though. I am going to do that in Aug 2004.
I am currently dating an amazing woman. She's a total enviromentalist hippie, so we couldn't be more different, but it works for us. Then again who knows what the future will bring. I know for a fact that it will bring a trip to Costa Rica in December and a possible trip to Singapore in May. I can't imagine life with out travel.
That's my story...and I'm sticking to it.
