Joni's Story
After high school I moved to DC to help my sister who was pregnant with her third child at the time. I was planning to stay about three weeks...that was 36 years ago and I'm still here! I worked as a legal secretary for a few years, married a lawyer, got my degree in accounting and proceeded to have three children (and two dogs). My oldest just graduated U.Chicago and lives in Chicago, the middle child graduated from Lynn U. in Boca Raton, FL, and the youngest is a junior at GaTech. nyone want a dog?). I'm retired and planning some travel before I get too old to enjoy it. I've been divorced for 4 years. I live in Arlington and walk or take the subway everywhere. I have a large circle of friends here and my house is usually full of people! I'm still best of friends with Susan (Anthony)(Class of '70) and visit her as often as I can. I also still keep in touch with Raymond Burt (class of '69) since he lives in Wilmington, NC where my sister now lives. I try to have coffee with him whenever I'm in town. In short, life has been pretty good to me and I'm happy and feel blessed.
