Jose's Story
Joined the US Army shortly after graduation. Was Stationed at Ft Gordon, GA for training. Went to Wuerzburg Germany for 3 years. Came back to Ft Gordon, Ga for more training. Left and went to MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. Spent 6 years there and saw the world. From there went to Yongsan Seoul South korea for a year. Afterwards went to Ft Ritchie, MD for a year and a half. From there went to Donnersberg Germany for 3 years. Then I went back to Ft Gordan to be an Instructor at the Signal School. From there I went back to Yongsan Seoul South Korea. Retired in 1996. Went to work at the Family Morale Welfare and Recreation Dragon Hill Lodge Seoul South Korea as a Telephone Maintenance Tech.. as the Site Supervisor and the only american in the office. Had 6 South korean Techs and 1 South korean Sales Clerk under me. We provided CATV, Internet and telephone service to the soldiers at 8 Military Camps. Left there in 2009 due to the Military down sizing and camp closures. Went to Burkburnett, TX. worked at Southern Star Dish network.. After 5 years moved to Goodyear, AZ. Did a few odd jobs. Worked as a School Bus driver and produce clerk at a supermarket. Did a jod as an electrical helper at the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Generating Station during a scheduled reactor down time. The pay was great but the hours were long. 5 days on and 1 day off. Almost 80 hours a week with 12 hour shifts. Currently I am working at Intel Ocotillo Campus in Chandler, AZ as a manufacturing Tech. This is the end of my story for now.
