Jose Armando's Story
Life
Born in Douglas, Arizona. Lived there until I was 8 or 9 years old. I went to kindergarden - 4th grade at Clawson Elementary. Mrs. Pierce was my Kindergarden teacher, Mrs. Barret was first grade. Mrs. Orr was 3rd grade and Mr. Bacon was begining of 4th grade. Then we moved to Karlsrhue, Germany. We lived in Paul Revere Village in Karlsrhue Germany from 1980 to 1983, during my elementary school years. Starting in 1980, I was in Ms. Monroe's class (sp?, subsequently in Mrs. Delong's class for 5th grade (I'm pretty sure), and finally in Mr. Glandon's 6th grade class, which was the year he retired. By and far one of the best educational experiences of my life. Would love to chat with anyone from those classes and would like to get hold of a copy of our 6th grade year-book that we made in Mr. Glandon's class. Mine was lost in a flood.
Moved back to Arizona for 7th and 8th grade to was reunited with my old school friends at Douglas Jr. High School. We then moved to California where my step-dad was transferred. I went all 4 ...Expand for more
years at Silver Valley High School and had to make all new friends.
Graduated high school and missed my brothers and sister so I moved back to Arizona and worked and went to school. I transferred to the University of Arizona on a scholarship in the summer. Gave up my scholarship (long story) and paid out of pocket in fall. Too expensive. Transferred to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Lived up in Flagstaff for 5 years and changed from biology to nursing. I was accepted at two schools in Chicago and chose Rush University over Saint Xavier College because I could finish one year sooner. Graduated in 2000. Was going to move back to AZ., but met my wife and the rest is history. Now have life here in midwest. I would love to catch up with people. All this moving around has not made it easy to keep in touch with people. I'll apologize early because I have just lost touch with so many friends. If you had patience to read all of this, my hat is off to you. :) Send me an e-mail. I'd love to catch up with folks. Armando
