Joseph's Story
In 1973 I graduated from Bassett High School and had the opportunity to have Grad Night at Disneyland. When I got there I was surprised to see so many students that came from around the world to spend their graduation night at Disneyland. The other thing that surprised me was all the entertainment by well-known celebrities. As I was riding around on my motorized wheelchair, I stopped to watch some men preparing a small stage that wasn't very high. It must have been about 5 feet off the ground. I went over to talk to one of the man and asked him who was going to play, and he told told me Ricky Nelson. I go on stage the girls we will go "Buzzek" and tear him apart, including me! Then he told me that they would keep me safe. So I told him I would think about it. When I came back there was show. So I asked the same guy what happened to the show and he told me that I was right! As soon as Ricky Nelson came on stage the girls did go "Buzzek" and jump on him ripping his cloths off, including the band! So they had to rescue Ricky Nelson and the band! I told him that it was good thing I didn't go on stage or I would have probably been naked! We both laughed about it.
Anyway, that night was a memorable night with my girlfriend and friends. Thank you Disney for the memories.
