Joseph's Story
College
I worked for 20 years to acheive my goal of getting a college education. With the help of my partner, his encouragement and assistance I will graduate in December with my degree in criminal justice. I will be using this degree for my career as a sign language interpreter and for the next step, a masters degree.
I graduated Dec. 10, 2004 what a joyous day. although when I walked up to get my degree they did say Christopher Cartwright. Don't know where that came from my card had the correct spelling of Joseph. After my stunned shock, I did walk across and accept my "diploma". Naturally my Fraternity brothers got a kick out of that.

I went to college at phoenix college in Arizona, my degree was for sign language interpreter. I fell in love and did not finish my degree so I could follow this love to Calif. I have since been in florida and completed my A.A. Next I went to Florida Atlantic University and finished my B.A. in Criminal Jusitice. I plan on using this degree to work in the court system and get my masters as well. At this time I am looking at UC Berkeley to work on my next degree (PhD) in Jurisprudence and Social Policy. I am in the process of checking out the college. I am currently living in San Francisco and working as a Freelance Interpreter (Sign Language)
