Joseph's Story

After Kennedy, I got my BS in Biochem at Maryland, then I worked as a lab tech at Georgetown U. Not having enough to do, I went to grad school at night at Hood, and put 20k miles on my car in 2 yrs while getting my MS degree. I then went to GWU for a PhD, but got tired of school and left to go work as a biologist at the FDA. I met my wife, Suzanne, at a July 4th weekend party at Steve Hazan's girlfriends house in DC. We started dating soon after, though it was hard with her in NJ and me in DC. She eventually transferred to AU and graduated. While I was working, I got the itch to return to school...Expand for more
and decided patent or FDA law was the way to go, so off to Law school at AU at night, while Suzanne and I got married, and I worked in the lab. After law school I worked at NIH for awhile doing their patents and licensing, then I left for private practice, where I have been ever since. During that time, Suzanne (a CPA and now InfoSec Exec) and I traveled to Europe a bit. Eventually we moved to Rockville and have two awesome boys who are now 12 and 9, and who love baseball and scouts. If you want to know something about patent law, you can see my profile at the leydig.com website under attorneys.
