Joseph's Story

Life I attended Patch American High School from 1996 (my sophomore year) to 1999 - my graduating year. Friends I still keep in touch with are Christina Castro, Amy Lee, Catt King, Ryan Cheney, Laura Corliss and Isaac Schmidt. The people I have not kept in touch with but I miss A LOT are Ben Turgeon, Jason Berthiaume, Dirk Marsh and Adam Keller. Teachers who had the most impact on me are Ms. Fairchild (she was ALWAYS there for me), Ms. Dawson and Ms. Zank for their "tough love" ways of teaching and Mr. Pinschmidt - he was always very understanding and accommodating to my dilemmas. This is long enough. . .I just want to say that I had a great time at Patch. I sincerely apologize if ever I have offended, hurt anybody's feelings or made anybody feel left out during the three years I was there. nt, FBLA Vice-president, Homecoming King, Most Musical Senior along with all the other titles during my last year of high school were so validating and meaningful to me -- it definitely made my Senior year very memorable!!! One of the greatest life lessons I learned in high school was to never put all of my trust in one person -- but instead to GAIN others' trust through love, patience and kindness. You may not know that you taught me this, but you did. You taught me in the most hurtful of all hurtful ways. I want you to know that I came out on top -- much stronger, much smarter and more sensitive. You know who you are... For those of you who would always assume my sexual preference... KEEP ASSUMING!!! =D What it boils down to is where my heart is and that ONLY God's judgment of me matters... Promote peace and love, not hate and indifference. God bless. Still, Joseph Merwin "J.M."
