Joseph's Story
After graduation I joined the Air Force as a firefighter. I went to Germany first for two years durring that time I formed a rock band and played around europe. My band won a few talent contests. I got married in Germany to Terri who was in my band and played piano and sang. I then got stationed in New Mexico and had two children. Andrea is my daughter and is 26 now and Joshua my son is 25. I got out of the regular Air Force in 1984 and joined the Air Force Reserves. I became a carpenter, then I worked for Catapillar for a few years and had my third child, my son Jordan 19. My wife got brain cancer in 96 and that is a whole other sad story. I worked for Costco making eye glasses till I went nuts and went into the speedometer business. band up again determined to make it writing my own songs and performing them wherever I could. Being a rock star was not in the cards for me but I still play to this day and now I work for a defense contractor General Dynamics. I started as a Stryker mechanic (see photo) and now I am in management. I am currently in the middle east in Qatar. I enjoy my work and my paycheck but I don't like the location so much-I miss the USA. I will be here till May 2011. My son Joshua works for the same company and just returned from Iraq with his pockets full of money and he and his wife Sharron gave me a grandson Braden 2.5 years. My daughter just got married to a great guy named Robert and they are giving me my second grand child in Aug. Life is good now and I can thank the blessings of God for that.
