Joseph's Story
Life
Residing in Reno, Nevada- I have two sons and a daughter.
Been married to Susan Railton (Reno resident) for 22 years.
Traded lumber for 15 years and now own a general contracting firm specializing in railroad track take out.
Conservative in politics. Less government more individual freedom.
Oldest son foreman's all track take out work. Was an excellent baseball player through high school (set slugging average at HS).
Have one grand-daughter. youngest son is a Junior at Univ. of Nevada set all of the shooting records at HS for .22 cal.
Daughter is married living in Portland.
Life has been a challenge and there hasn't been a lot free lunches but wouldn't have it any other way. I hope the rest of the class has done well.
School
High School was just a pass through time of life. Nothing special other then I was part of the Chess Team that went undefeated in League Tournament play against the Western Washington High Schools .
High School didn't offer much inspiration, to social in environment and not enough emphasis put on improving yourself.
College
Educated at Portland State University majoring in Marketing & Finance.
Workplace

orked full time at Freightliner Corp. while going to college.
Traded lumber with North Pacific Lumber Co. (Jim Carroll was there too) for three years. Portland, Oregon
Worked at Siskiyou Forest Products, Sales Manager of sawmill sales and traded lumber for 4 years Woodland, CA.
Universal Home Products, Los Angeles, CA 4 years. Put a Israel lumber company in the forest products business in the U.S.
Currently, owner of Griffin Group an LLC that takes out railroad track and resells all of the railroad material leaving only the roadbed.
Operations Manager of Iron Horse Preservation Society where we build hiking & biking trails from abandoned railroad track while supporting historic railroads-
Military
1974 joined the Marine Corps. Attached to "I" Company 3rd Battalion 5th Marine Regiment 1st Marine Division. Was a squad leader and radio operator. 5th Marines had just rotated back from Vietnam when I joined them, so I didn't go over seas. Got out due because of "affirmitive action" programs being forced through all branches of the military.
Shot Expert, promoted quickly but couldn't stand the predjicism against causasion race for future opportunity.
